The offer: For $55 per month, Xfinity offers home internet with speeds up to 500 Mbps and one unlimited phone line. While 500 Mbps is a good speed for streaming, Xfinity also offers multi-gig speeds (up to 6 GB, depending on area).
Eligibility: This offer is available only to new customers and requires autopay and paperless billing through a bank account (not a debit or credit card). Keep in mind that Xfinity Mobile requires Xfinity internet, so if you switch your home internet provider in the future, you’ll also need to forfeit your mobile service with Xfinity.
Installation fees and data: Xfinity provides a self-installation option for $39.99 or a professional installation fee of $100. After the initial 12-month promotional period, the standard internet price rises to $79/mo. Xfinity does not offer unlimited data, but the plan still includes a generous 1.2 TB of data every month.
Equipment costs: The deal includes a free modem and router for the first year; after that, it’s $15/mo. unless you use your own modem and router to avoid the fee.
