Methodology

We rated the largest internet providers in the U.S. for 2024. Each provider was rated on a scale of 1 to 5 based on over a dozen factors, including speed, cost, availability, fees, customer satisfaction, connection type and more. We also used data from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to compare the average speed offered by internet companies in the U.S. to set a baseline for what is considered a good internet speed. Additionally, we analyzed data from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) to understand how each internet service provider (ISP) fares in customer service and perceived value.

Cheap internet options in Oklahoma

Home Wi-Fi plans can be quite affordable in the Sooner State. At least four providers offer starting prices of $40/mo. or less, though you may have to bundle with TV or combine with mobile plans to get the best deals. Still, you are getting pricing at the low end of the national average of $40–$80. Cox and T-Mobile are our top picks for cheap home internet in Oklahoma, since both providers score well and offer internet in a large portion of the state. Fast internet options in Oklahoma

Need more bandwidth for heavy streaming or video-conferencing? Although the median download speed in Oklahoma is only 220 Mbps, several internet providers offer symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 5 GB. Plans from AT&T, EarthLink and Bluepeak are among the fastest in the country — and more than enough for most home Wi-Fi needs on 20+ devices.

Rural internet options in Oklahoma

Rural areas tend to have fewer options for high-speed home internet. Still, it’s possible to find fast, 5G fixed wireless in many parts of Oklahoma, whether from big companies like T-Mobile or Verizon or small local providers. If that’s not available in your area, you’ll want to check out satellite internet options from providers like Hughesnet, Viasat or Starlink. Satellite isn’t as fast as other Wi-Fi options, but it’s available almost everywhere.
