Rise Broadband fiber internet plan is the cheapest plan offered by this ISP and has 250 Mbps upload and download speed, which is a good internet speed for nearly all online tasks. Choose this plan if you connect around 10 devices at once and need to do activities such as streaming videos or music, gaming or remote work. Installation is currently free with this plan (standard rate is $75), and the price is guaranteed for two years. Plus, data is unlimited.
Rise Broadband Fiber 1000 – Best for 20+ Wi-Fi devices
Rise Broadband Fiber is a good choice for the ultra-connected household with over 20 devices. Like the 250 Mbps plan, this 1 GB deal has a free installation promotion and also includes unlimited data. While not every home needs 1 GB speeds, it is worth the extra money if you have multiple people online at once or frequently do high-bandwidth activities, like real-time gaming.
Renting a Deco X21 router through Rise Broadband has an additional monthly fee, but depending on your location, there may be promotions for a free router with specific fiber plans. Otherwise, the typical cost is $15 for a router, $20 for a router and one Wi-Fi extender or $25 for a router and two Wi-Fi extenders.
Rise Broadband Fixed wireless 50 Mbps – Best for rural homes
Rise Broadband’s fixed wireless plans range from 25 to 100 Mbps. The reason the 50 Mbps plan is the best option is that it costs the same as the 25 Mbps plan in many areas. Like the fiber plans, this internet deal offers unlimited data and no contracts.
This plan also includes a free Deco M4 router, or you can upgrade to the Deco X21 router with Wi-Fi extenders for an additional fee. The main difference between the M4 and x21 routers (besides the extenders) is that the x21 model has OFDMA technology to assign bandwidth more efficiently across all devices in your home network to reduce latency.
