Rural areas or regions with challenging terrain (i.e., mountains) don’t always have cable lines or high-speed internet that can support streaming TV. In these cases, satellite TV from DIRECTV or DISH is the best option for accessing a variety of TV channels.
Satellite TV can be installed almost anywhere, as long as there is a clear view of the southern sky. Satellite TV is the ideal TV option for remote areas without access to cable, fiber or 5G internet because it is not dependent on buried, hardwired lines.
Xfinity, Cox and Optimum offer the cheapest TV and internet packages at between $34.99 and $55/mo. Meanwhile, internet companies like AT&T partner with DIRECTV or other streaming platforms to provide exclusive sports, movies or On Demand content.
Bundling TV with internet from an ISP can be cheaper than one streaming service. For instance, YouTube TV is $72.99/mo., but for around $75/mo., you can get 85+ cable channels and up to 500 Mbps in speed from Spectrum.
Yes, most ISPs offer savings of $10–$20/mo. when you sign up for multiple services like TV and internet. Adding mobile service to internet and TV packages can also yield valuable discounts.
